Roof Renewal:
Pacific Forestry Centre - Header House
The construction portion of this project was completed in the role of Project Manager while working for RDH Building Science Inc.
This renewal involved the replacement of the existing tar and gravel roof with a new conventional SBS roof.
As a result of the increased thickness of the conventional SBS roof system, the perimeter parapets needed to be increased in height to accommodate the new roofing and meet Roofing Contractors Association of British Columbia (RCABC) warranty requirements.
Conventional SBS roof systems have a longer lifespan and are easier to maintain than tar and gravel roof systems, optimizing the durability to cost ratio of the project.
