Tolmie Street Residence

This project was conducted in the role of Intern Architect while working for Frits de Vries Architect Ltd.

This high-end custom home is designed to accommodate the specific needs and preferences of the couple, catering to their entertainment, lifestyle and age-in-place needs. The design for this project was characterized by unique challenges due to the triangular-shaped site and the required municipal setbacks.

The home features an ‘endless’ pool in the rear yard for triathlon training, a residential elevator shaft for future age-in-place needs, a separable basement suite for future care-giver, an open kitchen and living room design for entertainment purposes, and sweeping vista views of downtown Vancouver from the Spanish Banks escarpment.
